Daniel A Fernandez
Daniel A. Fernandez, is a Corporate Security Consultant with over 40 years law enforcement security experience. He is a retired Special Agent with the U.S. Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS), and former member of the Honolulu Police Department. He graduated from the University of Hawaii with both Bachelors and Masters Degrees in the Social Sciences.
Law enforcement security issues have defined the life of Mr. Fernandez from his earliest days on the Honolulu Police Department through several decades of U.S. Government service, to a post federal service political appointment as the Sheriff’s Administrator, Department of Public Safety, Honolulu, Hawaii. Subsequent to the 9/11 attack on the World Trade Center, Mr. Fernandez returned to U.S. Government Service as a contract annuitant for several years performing a number of Counter Terrorism related duties and has also worked as a contract investigator for the U.S. Department of Justice and the FBI.
As a Special Agent with NCIS, Mr. Fernandez was assigned to numerous operational field offices both within the United States and internationally. During these assignments he was involved in a wide variety of criminal and counterintelligence operations and investigations. Notably he was temporarily assigned to the U.S. Embassy Manila during periods of political instability where he provided timely and accurate situational assessments. Mr. Fernandez has enjoyed innumerable operational successes during his many years of experience in Southeast Asia and has maintained many personal contacts throughout the region.
In addition to his academic education Mr. Fernandez attended numerous law enforcement training schools including the Honolulu Police Academy, Federal Law Enforcement Training Academy, and law enforcement management courses in fraud, narcotics, money laundering, arson, criminal and counterintelligence investigations and operations.
As a Corporate Security Consultant, and crisis management responder, Mr. Fernandez brings his many years of unique operational experience and professional expertise to the corporate security paradigm.
Mr. Fernandez reads, writes and speaks Tagalog, fluently and has varying degrees of fluency in several other Philippine provincial dialects.
