Kent E. Walker

Kent E. Walker is a Security Consultant with over 35 years exceptional service. He is a retired U.S. Federal Law Enforcement Officer, who in the wake of 9/11 terrorist attack returned to government service as the Assistant Special Agent in Charge (ASAC) of the Miami Field Office, of the Transportation Safety Administrations (TSA), Federal Air Marshal Service. At TSA he was instrumental in training Air Marshalls and was responsible for coordination with Federal Security Directors at airports in Miami, Ft. Lauderdale, West Palm Beach and San Juan, PR.

Prior to his TSA service Mr. Walker was the Director of Investigations at Tyco International, where he was responsible for the conduct of all corporate-wide investigative and executive protection initiatives. Most notably, he helped establish safe workplace policies and reviewed and investigated all workplace violence potentials worldwide. Prior to his association with Tyco, Mr. Walker provided crisis management, security consulting, litigation support, threat assessments, operational response and site security evaluations to a number of corporate global entities on behalf of Kroll Associates and private clients. These matters included kidnap and child abduction cases.

Before joining Kroll, Mr. Walker served over 25 years with federal investigative and counterintelligence agencies. From 1992 to 1997, he was the Special Agent in Charge of the newly created Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Office of Criminal Investigations (OCI), Miami Field Office. In that capacity, Mr. Walker directly supervised all criminal investigations and security matters conducted by FDA/OCI in the southeast United States, Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands. These investigative matters included malicious tampering, threats, extortion and counterfeit drug incidents.

Prior to joining FDA/OCI, he served as a Special Agent with the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) during the period 1972 - 1989 in positions of increasing responsibility. Mr. Walker’s career with NCIS included a wide variety of assignments involving criminal, counterintelligence, investigations and operations. Security operations included counter-terrorism threat assessments and protective service support to the Secretary of Defense and other high ranking U.S. and foreign dignitaries in association with terrorist threats including special anti-terrorist operations against the Italian terrorist group Red Brigades.

Mr. Walker conducted Physical Security Surveys and Assessments of U.S. and overseas defense establishments including weapons and POL (petroleum-oil-lubricant) storage and transfer sites. He managed a covert security group at NCIS Headquarters that was responsible for counterintelligence and security protection for the Navy and Defense Department’s (and the involved corporate industries) most sensitive research projects (Black Programs). In 1988, he was appointed Deputy Director, Counterintelligence where his duties included management of the Anti-Terrorist Alert Center (ATAC), an NCIS Headquarters based intelligence fusion center.

Mr. Walker has lived and worked in 17 countries around the world including Asia, Europe and the Middle East. During the period 1989 to 1992, Mr. Walker was assigned to the Inspector General’s Staff of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission where he was a Team Leader involved in high visibility investigations relating to the security and licensing of nuclear power plants. These operations were largely at the request of Congress and involved safety and security concerns.

Mr. Walker was a commissioned officer in the United States Marine Corps during the period 1967 and 1970. His service included a combat tour in Vietnam and he is a member of the Association of Former Intelligence Officers (AFIO). He holds a BS degree in Political Science and Foreign Relations and a Masters degree in Communications and Public Administration from Xavier University. He has received numerous awards from foreign governments and U.S. agencies for his casework and security assistance.
