Michael B. Jones

Michael B. Jones is a Corporate Security Consultant with over 40 years international law enforcement security experience. He is a graduate of East Carolina University, with a BS Degree in History and Political Science and is a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He retired from U.S Government service as a civilian Special Agent In-charge with the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS). His law enforcement/security career spans over 28 year’s service in the U.S. federal law enforcement, counterintelligence community and over 12 years as a Corporate Security Consultant. He has also worked as a Contract Investigator with the U.S. Department of Justice and the FBI.

Mr. Jones has spent over 20 years in operational law enforcement/security, counterintelligence assignments in South East Asia and the Pacific Rim, including long term residential assignments in Vietnam, Japan, Taiwan, and multiple assignments in the Philippines.

For several years in close coordination with U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency he was assigned to a Special Operations unit conducting undercover narcotics suppression operations in Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, and the Philippines. 

As a Special Agent In-charge of a large NCIS field office, Mr. Jones, supervised the investigative/operational work product of over 50 civilian Special Agents involved in the conduct of felony criminal/counterintelligence investigations and operations.

After retirement from U.S. Government Service in 1995 he began working as Corporate Security Consultant with multi-national corporations in Southeast Asia and the Pacific Rim. In this capacity he successfully directed and concluded a major fraud investigation within a Fortune 500, high-tech, company with a major production facility within the Philippines. In similar fashion Mr. Jones served on an extended contract basis, as the Security Officer of another major high-tech company who’s Security Officer had been assassinated. Mr. Jones has extensive experience in Counterfeit Product investigations and related mitigating enforcement operations involving a wide variety of consumer products.

He is an experienced corporate briefer and trainer and has been used extensively in providing pre-incident anti-kidnap briefings to corporate executives throughout the region. He has extensive crisis management experience and has been a crisis management planner and responder for several multi-national corporations throughout the Pacific Rim.

During his U.S. Government career Mr. Jones attended many military and civilian law enforcement/counterintelligence training schools and his decades of meritorious service were rewarded with numerous commendations and outstanding performance awards.
